     It has been found that there are approximately seven out of ten people who suffer from headaches, even once in one year.

    It should be noted that the headache ranges in intensity from simple to very severe, and that severe headache may be a guarantee that the sufferer suffers from the inability to perform his daily tasks and normal activities, in addition to causing the inability of the injured to focus.

    It has been found that approximately 45 million people in the United States of America suffer from very severe headaches.

     Researchers and specialists have classified headaches into two main types, the first is known as primary headache, and occurs as a result of a disorder of some vital processes that occur in the brain, and is not related to another health problem, and the second type of headache is known as secondary headache; in fact, this type occurs From a headache as a result of an injury or suffering from another health problem. 

    Types of headaches, their causes and treatment

    In fact, there are more than 300 types of headaches, most of which are the primary type that is not attributable to the presence of a real cause or a health problem as mentioned above, and in contrast there are approximately 10% of the total headaches that are attributed to known causes, and the most important types of headaches can be summed up as follows : 


    Tension headache


    Tension headaches are the most common primary type of headache, and this type of headache often begins slowly and gradually, usually in the middle of the day

    It should be noted that this headache may occur in the form of seizures and may be continuous, and as for episodes of tense headaches, it usually lasts for a few hours or several days, at the very least.

    While the period of chronic tension headache is 15 days or more per month for at least three months.

    People with this headache often describe headache as a feeling of a belt or tape being pressed around the head.

    Among the factors that stimulate the appearance of this headache: Having a problem with the muscles or joints of the neck or jaw, feeling tired and general fatigue, or experiencing emotional stress. 

    As for the treatment options that can be used to control this type of headache, some of which are based on the use of over-the-counter medications such as Paracetamol and Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs such as Ibuprofen, and some of them are based on other methods Like: A warm bath, a nap, and a snack to eat.

     The person is advised to avoid all stimuli and to practice relaxation exercises to control the condition. 


    Migraine headache

    Migraine headache patients feel a heart-like pain in the head, often on one side of the head, and may be accompanied by other symptoms such as blurred vision, nausea, dizziness, and some sensory disturbance. 

    This type is also primary and there is no real reason for it to occur, but it is believed that this is caused by changes in the bloodstream or nerves activities of the brain, and the triggers for its emergence: Fatigue, stress, lack of or too much sleep, drinking alcohol, eating chocolate, changing the weather, etc. Among the possible treatment options in the case of the sister: 

    Regular pain relievers such as paracetamol and NSAIDs.
    Triptans such as Sumatriptan.
    Ergots 
    Corticosteroids Like Dexamethasone Dexamethasone .
    Some anti-nausea.

    Cluster headache

    This type of headache is the feeling of a person with pain around or behind the eye, in fact cluster headache is the most severe type of headache ever, and there are many cases in which this headache disappears for months or years and then reappears.

    In fact, there is no specific reason specifically for suffering from this type of headache, but it is believed that a disorder or an imbalance in the hypothalamus region has occurred and has a role in the suffering from it, and as for the treatment options that can be used in cases of cluster headaches, The following is its statement:

     Rebound Headache caused by excessive use of medications as well, and occurs as a result of taking medications intended to treat headaches in a manner that exceeds the acceptable and permitted limit, and this often leads to headaches every day.

    Perhaps it was more painful, especially if the medications used contained caffeine, and therefore the causes of this headache are excessive use of medications that are used for tension or migraines, usually.

    Treatment for a headache often depends on reducing the doses taken of the medications used to treat the headache or stop taking it, and it may require hospitalization. 

    Sinus headache

    Sinusitis as a result of infection or suffering from one of the other health problems causes it to swell.

    This may cause pressure in it, and this pressure may be the underlying cause of suffering from a headache, and this headache is known as a sinus headache  As for the treatment of this type of headache, it depends primarily on treating the underlying cause of sinusitis, and among the drug options that can be used: 

    Antibiotics.
    Pain killers.
    Humidifiers.
    Decongestants 
    Antihistamines.
    Corticosteroids.
